To start with Joseph's life seemed to be going well. He was the favourite son of Jacob, well looked after by his large family. But, when he became a teenager things rapidly went down hill for him.

His brothers got fed up with his bragging and became so jealous they decided to get rid of him. He ended up far from home, a slave in country that he knew nothing about. Joseph trusted God though, and as he worked hard and chose to do the right thing life got better. It wasn't always easy, especially when he ended up in jail just because Potiphar's wife fancied him, but God was with him throughout and in the end used him to keep many people fed during a terrible famine.
