Schools Challenge
Hope2008 Resource
DO MORE, DO IT TOGETHER, DO IT IN WORD AND ACTION!
This year, there is a unique challenge for young people in schools to dream up and put in to action a project that will help benefit their community. The book 'Express Community through Schools' by Phil Bowyer (ISBN 978–1–85078–750–1) is an awesome resource that will help you and your school help transform your community. 'An excellent resource for both schools and churches.' Julian Piper, The Extended Schools Support Service (TESS)

WHAT: We started the Elm Farm Youth Cafe in March 2006. Since then we have 50 members with up to 30 young people attending each week. We are really grateful to a group of teenagers from the Estate who originally organised a meeting with local police and raised the need in the area. We soon became involved with meeting with the police and young people and before too long the Local School (William Harding Combined) opened the doors for us to run the cafe there!
